The gingerbread Spaceship Earth has arrived!
Today the much anticipated Spaceship Earth has made it’s debut at CommuniCore Hall in the World Celebration area at EPCOT. This ushers in the start of the 2024 International Festival of the Holidays. Construction clocked in at over 160 hours with 1300 gingerbread tiles, and 100 pounds of royal icing. The final product is a towering 8 foot tall! There are 11 hidden Mickeys representing the 11 countries of the World Showcase. Sponsored by Citizen this Spaceship Earth also lights up with a show every 10 minutes.
Along with this display you’ll want to visit the Experimental Prototype Cookies of Tomorrow booth to get a tile cookie similar to the ones used on the display.
