Mufasa might just be the king of treats!
Inspired by the newest Disney live action film, Mufasa: The Lion King, Walt Disney World has new bites of flavor arriving at the Animal Kingdom. Even Scar would agree, these new menu finds sound mighty tasty.
Starting with the new savory savannah flavors, Tusker House Restaurant has added the Journey Across Africa dish to their buffet. Fill your plate with these red beans cooked in coconut milk that has been seasoned with ginger, turmeric, and coriander. They are served with tomatoes over white rice. Over at Harambe Market, try the Savory Tanzanian Pie. This plate features African-spiced beef and lamb stuffed in naan, drizzled with spicy ketchup, and served with house-made chips. Various locations will have the Sunrise of the Kingdom beverage available. It's a blend of green tea, strawberry, and Minute Maid Premium Lemonade topped with passion fruit boba pearls.
If you're roaming Disney's Animal Kingdom looking for something sweet, then Creature Comforts is the place for you! They have the Mufasa Pride Rock Profiterole, a cream puff filled with chocolate cream and whipped coffee ganache. Step outside the Animal Kingdom and venture to Disney Springs for the Mufasa Cake Bar at Amorette's Patisserie. It's a cinnamon-vanilla mousse and vanilla chiffon with caramel chocolate-coated Feuilletine crunch dipped in dark chocolate.
