Disney Has Filed A Permit Application With South Florida Water Management District For Land Near Animal Kingdom
Concept Art: Disney
Our most current information is just speculation at this point, but we can confirm that Disney has filed a permit application with South Florida Water Management District for a space backstage at Animal Kingdom. The permit would be for 5 different trailers and 363 parking spaces in addition to a road leading to the site. The location cited in the permit is backstage area behind Kali River Rapids and Maharaja Jungle Trek and out of view of guests.

We are assuming this permit is bringing us one step closer to extinction of Dinoland soon. At last year’s Destination D23 Josh D’Amaro gave us some “Blue Sky” concepts that include attractions from the movies Indiana Jones, Encanto, and Coco.

We’re hoping to hear more in the coming months about this project and excited for the possible reveal at this year’s Destination D23 this August.
What are you hoping for in the new area at Animal Kingdom?
