New Year's Eve Celebrations at Magic Kingdom Resorts Limited to Resort Guests
Walt Disney World is a popular location to ring in the New Year, both in the parks and at resorts. This year the Magic Kingdom area resorts have announced that their festivities will be available to resort guests only.
At Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, resort guests will be able to watch the New Year's Eve Fireworks from the pool area with a wristband signifying them as a resort guests. Wristbands are only requires for the pool area, not for other areas throughout the resort.
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort has viewing areas for resort guests only which includes Disney's Polynesian Villas and Bungalows as well as the new Island Tower. Guests will need to collect a wristband from the lobby prior to the fireworks to be able to watch from the resort.
Over at Bay Lake Tower, New Year's Eve Celebrations are specifically for Disney Vacation Club members staying at Bay Lake Tower. The Top of the World lounge will be available for eligible guests on a first come, first serve basis from 6PM on December 31st. Capacity is limited to 300 guests and again, wristbands will be needed. The wristbands will be distributed in the lobby between 10AM and 2PM.
