The Top Magic Kingdom Rides

Tron Lightcycle Run is my number one.  The ride is about 60 seconds long. It  features a motorbike design, and the coaster reaches a maximum speed of 60 mph.   This ride at Magic Kingdom also has a regular sit-down section in the back of the ride for persons with disabilities.  This ride has an amazing take-off, which is my favorite part.

Have you experienced this ride?

My number two Magic Kingdom ride is The Haunted Mansion.  This isn’t a fast-paced ride.  You step into a doom buggy and ride through the haunted mansion.  There are 999 happy haunts to keep your attention.  My favorite part is the graveyard scene.  I always tease Mike (my husband) that he is the old man with the horn to his ear.

Is this one of your must-do rides? What is your favorite part?

Ride number three is Seven Dwarfs Mine Train.  This ride is a steel roller coaster. The carts sway back and forth. And I love to get them swinging.  This ride is based on the Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs movie.  At the end of the ride, Snow White can be seen dancing with the dwarfs.  This ride is two minutes and fifty seconds long, and the max speed is 34 mph.  This ride often has one of the longest wait times at Magic Kingdom. Fear not, for around $14.00, you can purchase a single lighting lane pass.

Is this one of your must-do rides?

My number four ride is Pirates of the Caribbean.  This boat ride takes you on a fascinating ride trying to find Captain Jack Sparrow.  I always get wet from one of the cannons, no matter where I’m sitting on the ride.

Is this ride a must-do for you?

With all the options at the Magic Kingdom, it's hard to make a list! I agree with Tron as that number. What a ride! My list would have also included the Haunted Mansion and Pirates. I would have swapped Seven Dwarfs Mine Train for Big Thunder Mountain.

Can't wait for your Hollywood Studios list!
