My Top 4 Rides at Disney's Hollywood Studios

Become the star of your favourite movies...

Hollywood Studios is home to amazing lands and thrilling attractions. See if you agree with Stephanie when she chooses her favourite rides.

My number four ride is Slinky Dog Dash.  This family friendly roller coaster, has a launch start and is located in Toy Story Land.  It is themed around the Slinky Dog character from the Toy Story movies.

This fast-paced ride is very popular. If you plan to get a lightning lane for this attraction, snag it fast.  This fun ride gets up to 40 mph and lasts for a thrilling two minutes, where you go for a journey, slinky- style.

Love on a Roller Coaster

Coming in at Number three on my favorite rides countdown is Aerosmith's Rock-N-Roller Coaster.   This is an indoor launched roller coaster, which propels riders from 0 to 57 mph in 2.8 seconds; this ride lasts 1 minute and 22 seconds.

This attraction features recorded music and appearances from the band themselves.  This experience will be reimagined with the Muppets, sometime in the near future, with exact dates to be announced soon.

Two people excitedly ride the Hollywood Tower attraction, hands raised, against a metallic background. Text: "We Dropped In" and "The Hollywood Tower Hotel." The people are Stephanie from the WDWAO Team and her husband Mike. They are riding the Tower of Terror with no other people, in the ride vehicle.

Just narrowly missing out on being my favourite ride is The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. This ride is a simulated freefall elevator drop experience. It is inspired by Rod Serling’s television show, The Twilight Zone.  This ride is never the same trip twice in a row. The attraction photo service will capture your screams as you plummet to the ground floor.

Do you find the Tower of Terror too terrifying, or do you relish the thrill of the drop?

My number one is...drumroll please...Rise of the Resistance. I’m a big Star Wars fan, so no-one will be surprised that this is my favourite ride at this park.  This attraction is located in Galaxy’s Edge and lasts a whopping 18 minutes.  It really feels like you are part of the Resistance.

A group of stormtroopers stands in formation on a glossy dark floor. Blue and black sci-fi setting. Mood is serious and orderly. This is one of the scenes on Rise of the Resistance at Disney's Hollywood Studios.
Resistance is Useless!

The First Order leads you to an interrogation room, but Finn soon breaks you out.  With the help of an R5 unit and a transport ship, you are able to escape.   This ride also has a single rider line.  You miss a lot of the pre-show and are dropped in the room with the stormtroopers. It’s definitely a faster way to enjoy the ride.  I don’t recommend single rider if it’s your first time to ride.  But for me and my husband, Mike, we don’t mind missing the pre-show since we have ridden many times.

That's my choices for the top rides at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Have I missed your favourite out? Let us know in the comments.

Great rundown! Mine would be: 1 - Rock N' Rollercoaster. However, this will change once it's rethemed. I just really like the vibes that is this ride with Aerosmith.

2 - Rise of the Resistance. I appreciate the engineering here. I am not a Star Wars fan so I think that speaks to this being done well.

3 - Toy Story Midway Mania. I just think this ride is adorable and well themed.

4 - Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Train. This gives me all the feels with the Mickey themed ride at WDW. I think imagineering did a great job here.

Great rundown! Toy Story Midway Mania would be in my top 5 instead of Tower of Terror. I love the competitive nature of the ride.

I definitely love Tower also, but being a Star Wars fan, Rise is number 1 in my book

I love all four of these rides and would struggle to put them in order. I am sad about the departure of Aerosmith, but also love The Muppets, so lets see what the change brings.
