McKim’s Mile House – A Member Lounge Now Open At Magic Kingdom

DVC members! You now have a place to rest and kick up your feet at the Magic Kingdom!

In surprising news Disney has just announced the opening of the newest Disney Vacation Club (DVC) lounge located at the Magic Kingdom. McKim’s Mile House – A Member Lounge opened today. Located in Frontierland this new American West themed lounge will offer DVC club members a relaxing respite from their park day. Guest can enjoy complimentary soft drinks, charging stations, and Wi-Fi.  The lounge is open between 11:00am and 6:00pm EST for all eligible Disney Vacation Club members.

Mile house host rooms featuring Barnabas T. Bullion & Marc Davis

The lounge’s namesake, Sam McKim, is a Disney Legend and concept artist for Frontierland at Disneyland. Based off what’s called a mile house, nowadays known as a hotel, this lounge is themed sparing no details. On the non-accessible second floor you’ll see rooms with names such as the fictional founder of the Big Thunder Mining Company, Barnabas T. Bullion, and a special nod to Disney Legend and Imagineer, Marc Davis.
