Animal Kingdom's Newest Arrival Stands Tall
Disney's Animal Kingdom has an adorable new arrival! Everyone, please meet baby giraffe Tucker!

Tucker was born earlier this year to beloved Masai giraffe, Mara. His birthday marks the first giraffe calf born at Walt Disney World since 2021. Mara has been mum to three calves, with her first calf Jabari, being born in 2019.

Today Mara and Tucker stretched their long legs and strolled out onto the savanna of Kilimanjaro Safaris.

The birth of Tucker is not just fantastic for Walt Disney World but for Masai giraffe overall. Masai giraffes are classed as endangered with only 30,000 giraffes remaining globally. The biggest problems they face are poaching and habitat loss.

Walt Disney World has a huge team of staff to help take care of all of their animals, and it's their dedication that helps protect the animals in their care as well as preserving genetic diversity.
Take a ride on Kilimanjaro Safaris and you might just be lucky enough to spot one of the tallest new additions to Animal Kingdom.
How adorable is Tucker? Are you excited to meet this new baby animal at Disney's Animal Kingdom?
