Holiday gingerbread displays return to Disney World Resorts
It wouldn’t be right to kick off the holiday season without Disney dropping their ever so delicious Foodie Guide for all things gingerbread at Walt Disney World.
New Gingerbread Displays:
EPCOT: Communicore Hall will be hosting a Gingerbread Spaceship Earth starting November 29th. This creation is 8-foot tall, 900+ gingerbread shingles and took over 160 hours to make. It will even have lights and music to accompany it. Be sure to spot the 11 hidden Mickey’s to that is said to represent the 11 countries in the World Showcase.
Returning Gingerbread Displays:
Animal Kingdom Lodge: Staring November 24th the life-size baby gingerbread giraffe Ginger and baby zebra Debra are returning to the lobby. Be sure to pick up a limited-edition pin, cookie jar, and holiday ornament too!
Grand Floridian: The much beloved gingerbread house will return November 6th! There are over 10,000 pieced of gingerbread bringing this house to life. Check for the 25 hidden Mickey’s in this year’s display to celebrate the 25th anniversary of this gingerbread house. You can also pick up limited-edition pin, cookie jar, magnet, tumbler, t-shirt, and more!
Beach Club: The holiday carousel is once again returning to the Beach Club lobby. This year’s carousel theme are characters from “Mickey’s Christmas Carol”. To celebrate the 24th anniversary of this display you’ll also be able to purchase limited edition pins, cookie jar, and holiday ornament.
BoardWalk Inn: You’ll be able to see the BoardWalk Deli gingerbread house starting November 12th. Also, with this display you’ll be able to purchase a limited-edition pin, cookie jar, and holiday ornament.
Contemporary: Celebrating its 13th year, the Castle display at the Contemporary Resort will be located on the 4th floor of the resort. This year it has a new lighted overlay created by the Walt Disney Imangineering team that was inspired by the Cinderella Castle Dream Lights. Be sure to search for the 13 hidden Mickey’s in this display and that famous 5-legged goat. Here too you can purchase limited-edition items.
