Monsters are taking over Hollywood Studios starting in May.
It's the end of an era for the Muppets at Disney's Hollywood Studios Grand Avenue section of the park. Closing dates for Mama Melrose's Ristorante Italiano, PizzeRizzo and Muppet*Vision 3D have all been set.
If you're looking to get one last meal that the vivacious Mama Melrose serves up, you'll have to get your dining reservations scheduled prior to May 11th. Mama Melrose's will serve up it's last plate of home-style Italian fare on May 10th to park guests and then permanently close on May 11th.
One June 7th, PizzeRizzo will sling its last pizza pie to continue to make way for the new Monsters, Inc. themed land. The location will permanently close on June 8th. Like the PizzeRizzo, Muppet*Vision 3D will permanently close on June 8th. Thankfully, the Muppets will still have a home in the park as they take over the Rock 'N' Rollercoaster for an all new Muppets Themed experience.
As Walt Disney once said, "The way to get started is to quit talking and begin doing." Imagineers have been sharing with us their plans for the coming updates to Disney's Hollywood Studios and now we will start to see their designs and imaginations come to life.
