More 5K registrations will be available during the next race year

The runDisney races that take place at Walt Disney World are a popular way of seeing a different side of the parks, including magical miles of character stops, photos and making new friends. The races allow participants to register for distances form a 5K all the way through to a full marathon.

The 5K races are arguably some of the most fun races to participate in, with no timing and lots of character stops, they are inclusive races and as such, usually sell out the fastest. Well, runDisney has listened and for the next running year, starting with the 2026 Disney Wine and Dine Half Marathon Weekend, more 5K registrations will be available!

Five years of sweet memories and one truly epic donut! This week marks the 5th anniversary of Everglazed Donuts & Cold Brew at Disney Springs, and they’re celebrating the only way they know how, by crafting their most scrumptious creation yet. The Blueberry Pop-tart Donut is here for a limited time. The Donut is dressed in vanilla icing, showered with confetti sprinkles, swirled with dreamy blueberry buttercream, and crowned with a blueberry Pop-tart…the real magic awaits inside with a slightly sweet blueberry surprise!

Here’s to five years of frosting, fun, and unforgettable bites, let the donut party begin!

Disney Parks has dropped a fun teaser featuring some of the must-try items coming to this year's International Festival of the Arts, and the lineup is nothing short of edible art. 🖌️🍕

As part of the 2026 Cool Kids' Summer, both Walt Disney World water parks will be open!

Starting on May 26th, both Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach water parks will be open! Instead of park hopping, you can make a splash at both fun-in-the-sun locations! This simultaneous waterpark operation will continue through September 8th, 2026. As part of the 2026 Cool Kids' Summer activities, there is even more to enjoy!

From May 26th through September 8th, those staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel can continue to enjoy free admission to either Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach on their check-in day.

Disney's Blizzard Beach water park is currently closed for its regularly scheduled maintenance. It will reopen February 15th. It is expected the Disney's Typhoon Lagoon will close on the 15th for refurbishment to get ready for the summer fun.

Get your crew ready to takeoff on the Millennium Falcon with The Mandalorian and Grogu. Beginning May 22nd, Smugglers Run will have the two new additions leading you on a new mission to track down former Imperial officers that are scattered throughout the galaxy. With the crew update, pilots will have the opportunity to change which planets the ship visits, so new and familiar locations are up for exploration.

The Smugglers Run updates are part of the summer updates coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios. The revamped Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets is also scheduled to roll into the parks during the summer.

Runners it's time to get planning and decide how many magic miles you will take on in the upcoming race year

The runDisney race year has only just begun with the WDW Marathon Weekend the next event, but runDisney has already got us planning as they released the running calendar for the 2026 through 2027 season.

Walt Disney World Resort will host four in person race weekends and there will also be three virtual running series throughout the year as well.

The first weekend to kick off the running year is the 2026 Disney Wine and Dine Half Marathon Weekend which will take place between October 22nd and October 25th 2026. Club runDisney registration will take place on February 3rd 2026 with general registration opening up a week later on February 10th.

The race after will be the 2027 Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend which will take place between January 6th and January 10th, 2027. Registration for the event opens for Club runDisney on March 10th, 2026 followed by general registration on March 17th.

The 2027 Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend will take place between February 25th and March 1st 2027. Club runDisney registration will open for the event on May 26th 2026 and general registration on June 2nd.

Finally the 2027 runDisney Springtime Surprise will take place between April 15th and April 18th 2027. Club runDisney registration will open on June 30th 2026 and general registration on July 7th.

runDisney will also have three virtual running series throughout the year! The first will be 2026 runDisney Virtual Series that will take place between June 1st and August 31st.

Next is the 2026 runDisney Virtual Spooktacular, taking place between October 1st and 31st, 2026. After the Halloween race will be the 2026 runDisney Virtual 12Ks of Christmas! This virtual race will take place between December 1st and 31st, 2026.

Please note that the Club runDisney registration dates are for Gold and Platinum Members only and the Virtual Series are only open to US addresses.

The Penguin Club beverage is the drink of the month at eet in Disney Springs. Head over to this fun, Indian quick service spot to order yours before it waddles off the menu. This adult beverage is a mix of coconut rum, blue curacao, cream of coconut, and pineapple juice. It's topped with mini marshmallows and your own adorable penguin toy to take home.

Four Patina-owned restaurants will have dining plan changes for 2026

There are lots of changes at Walt Disney World for 2026, including some Disney Dining Plan updates for EPCOT and Disney Springs.

The Italy Pavilion in EPCOT's World Showcase will see updates to the Via Napoli Restaurante e Pizzeria and Tutto Italia Ristorante dining plan offerings. Cinderella is sure to love this chocolate chiffon with chocolate mousse and mini chocolate chips. Amorette's Patisserie isn't the only location with a limited-time treat. If you're in Magic Kingdom, Auntie Gravity's Galactic Goodies has the Happy "Root Beer" Float on the menu through January 3rd. It's a classic root beer float with the addition of a chocolate cookie biscuit "sparkler" and shimmery sprinkles

If you're in Magic Kingdom, Auntie Gravity's Galactic Goodies has the Happy "Root Beer" Float on the menu through January 3rd. An updated menu for the Japan Pavilion's Garden House Sake Kiosk

After almost six months of construction and refurbishment work, the walls are coming down around the Garden House Sake Kiosk in EPCOT's Japan Pavilion. Updated windows and doors showcase a new layout to the previous building. Reopening on December 19th, the kiosk has an updated menu and new finds for visitors.

The updated menu includes specialty beverages, like the Violet Sake, Sake & Plum Wine, Junmai Sake, Daiginjo, Nigori Cloudy Sake and the Plum Wine. There are a variety of cocktails, including the Violet Sake, Tokyo Sunset, Green Grace, Sora Sky, and Haru Pink. Not sure which cocktail to try, order the Cocktail Flight that comes with the Violet Sake, Tokyo Sunset and Green Grace.

The Garden House Sake Kiosk also has a variety of beers on tap. Try the Kirin Frozen, Light or Regular Draft. There is also a Seasonal and Sapporo Draft. Just like the cocktails, you can order a Beer Flight that serves the Kirin Frozen, Seasonal and Sapporo Drafts.

Starting on December 22nd, Raglan Road Irish Restaurant and Pub at Disney Springs is offering a special Christmas Menu. The location has a sneak peak of the menu posted, and it includes savory and sweet Irish finds for diners, including:

Blizzard Beach is set to reopen and the Water Park Season Pass Returns

Starting December 16th, the seasonal water park passes are available for Disney's Typhoon Lagoon and Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Parks. Guest can currently enjoy making a splash on Crush 'N' Gusher, Miss Adventure Falls and in the Surf Pool at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon. May Day Falls, Storm Slides and the rest of the Typhoon Lagoon will close on February 14th for regular maintenance. Blizzard Beach will reopen on February 15th to entertain water park goers on Summit Plummet, Runoff Rapids and at Polar Pub.

The Disney Water Park Pass is valid from now through May 9th, 2026, for $89 per adult. Disney Parks Blog has indicated block-out-dates from March 28th - April 5th, so be sure to plan accordingly if traveling late March and early April. The Disney Water Park Pass will also treat gests to 20% off your Blizzard Beach Polar Patios Cabana or your Typhoon Lagoon cabana from Beachcomber Shacks when you first arrive at the water park. Each pass also comes with a round of mini golf included. Stop by Winter Summerland Miniature Golf or Fantasia Gardens Fairways Miniature Golf before 4pm to take advantage of this perk.

The tiki bar at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort is updating their operating hours! Historically opening at 3:00pm, Trader Sam's Grog Grotto is now open from 11:00 am through Midnight. On the Walt Disney World website, these updated lounge hours are reflected through February 14th, 2026. It's unclear currently if the added magical hours at this Jungle Cruise themed hot spot are here to stay or not.

Joining Trader Sam's Grog Grotto with a schedule change, the Trader Sam's Tiki Terrace outdoor lounge will also open at 11:00 am. Guest will be able to enjoy their exotic themed cocktails and island vibes starting earlier in the day. Both locations will start taking food orders starting at 11:00 am, making Trader Sam's Grog Grotto and Tiki Terrace perfect for that mid-day lunch break.

Starting off the new year, Mickey and Minnie will flaunt their Après Ski Winter Looks. Both looks feature denim accented with pink and blue colors. Moving into Spring, the pair will be inspired by Disney Cruise Line with their Cruise Style outfits. These boating outfits feature aqua marine colors and anchor detailing.

As things heat up in the Summer months, Mickey and Minnie will be giving European Summer with fashions inspired by Northern Europe and the south of France. Blue shades will be accented with waistcoats, map patterned fabric, and airplane detailing.

One of the most anticipated race weekends of the year is almost here! The weekend will take place at Walt Disney World Resort between January 7th and 11th 2026. The weekend will see runners take on a course through the parks for 5K, 10K, half marathon or a full marathon.

The merchandise that runDisney revealed today will be available during the Health & Fitness Expo which will be held at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex between the 7th and 10th January 2026.

The merchandise collection revealed shows so many items available so if you have your eye on a specific item make sure to head to the Expo as soon as possible as some items are likely to sell out fast.

The collection contains everything from spirit jerseys, finisher t-shirts, jackets, ornaments, tumblers and more! There's specific items for the weekend as well as each race distance and the challenges! The merchandise is really a marathon in shopping.

The dates for the EPCOT Festival have been announced alongside some other dates for the diary

The EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival is returning in 2026! The Festival will run between March 4th and June 1st 2026, lasting almost three months! The fan favorite festival sees more festival booths taking over the park with some fantastic food, merchandise and beautiful topiaries as well. It will be a quick turn around for the park as the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts finishes February 23rd. We will update you with more information about the Flower and Garden Festival when we get it, including the Garden Rocks Concert Series.

In other date updates from Disney Parks Blog we see the confirmation that the Food and Wine Festival and Festival of the Holidays will return although specific dates haven't been announced.

Frozen Ever After in EPCOT will be receiving it's animatronic update and reopening in February 2026! So not long to wait at all to see the new technology.

Spring will see the return of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin in Magic Kingdom. Again specific dates haven't been announced.

Summer will see the new Soarin' Across America, an update at Millennium Falcon: Smuggler's Run and Rock 'n' Rollercoaster starring The Muppets.

It's sure to be an exciting year at Walt Disney World.

The dates for the EPCOT Festival have been announced alongside some other dates for the diary

The EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival is returning in 2026! The Festival will run between March 4th and June 1st 2026, lasting almost three months! The fan favorite festival sees more festival booths taking over the park with some fantastic food, merchandise and beautiful topiaries as well. It will be a quick turn around for the park as the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts finishes February 23rd. We will update you with more information about the Flower and Garden Festival when we get it, including the Garden Rocks Concert Series.

In other date updates from Disney Parks Blog we see the confirmation that the Food and Wine Festival and Festival of the Holidays will return although specific dates haven't been announced.

Frozen Ever After in EPCOT will be receiving it's animatronic update and reopening in February 2026! So not long to wait at all to see the new technology.

Spring will see the return of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin in Magic Kingdom. Again specific dates haven't been announced.

Summer will see the new Soarin' Across America, an update at Millennium Falcon: Smuggler's Run and Rock 'n' Rollercoaster starring The Muppets.

It's sure to be an exciting year at Walt Disney World.

Wailulu Bar & Grill at the Island Tower at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is no longer offering full breakfast service. There are no breakfast hours listed or a menu, but the “Know Before You Go” section still lists a grab-and-go breakfast available from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Wailulu will serve lunch starting at 11 a.m. and switch to dinner at 5 p.m. It will be open until 10 p.m.
