The Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant is cooking up new out-of-this-world plates for diners starting on April 2nd. Launching onto the menu is the Fried Chicken Cordon Blue Sandwich, Cyborg-er, New Feature Film Burger and Cerulean Moon.

Known for crafting delicious burgers, the Cyborg-er and New Feature Film Burger are sure to be hits amongst Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater guests. The Cyborg-er features their signature blend of beef topped with griddled pastrami and pepper jack, lettuce, and heirloom tomato drizzled with house-made Carolina mustard sauce. Try the New Feature Film Burger and savor their signature blend of beef topped with sliced corned beef, Swiss cheese, and house-made sauerkraut served on a pretzel bun.

Not craving a burger? The new Fried Chicken Cordon Blue Sandwich is fried chicken thigh topped with ham and melted Swiss cheese on a bed of arugula with our signature maple dijon served on a brioche bun. Yum!

Order up something sweet with the new Cerulean Moon. It's a chocolate mousse dome with strawberry filling on a graham cracker tart with a hibiscus sponge, green space dust, and chocolate-caramel sauce.

Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor is an attraction located in the Tomorrowland area of Magic Kingdom and is based on the 2001 award winning Pixar movie, Monsters, Inc.

You can take a break from the Florida heat, rest your tired feet or dry off from the occasional rain showers during this 9-12 minute comedy show! Live actors voice digitally rendered monsters who attempt to get guests to laugh to fill the tank which provides electricity to the monster world! Mike Wazowski is the Monster of Ceremonies for the show, which features a variety of monster comedians. These scare-actors love to engage with the audience so you might find yourself on the big screen!

Camera shy?! Another way to be part of the show… You can text jokes while waiting to be let into the theater and maybe yours will make the cut!

Today’s featured bar is Let’s Go Slurpin’ at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon. This pool bar is located just steps from the Typhoon Lagoon Surf Pool next to Surf Doggies. Let’s Go Slurpin’ opened on June 1st, 1989. When Typhoon Lagoon opens on May 1st hours will be 11:00am-5:00pm.

Ambiance

Surfs up at this pool bar! What better way to cool off after several rounds in the Typhoon Lagoon Surf Pool than to grab a drink at Let’s Go Slurpin’? This walk-up pool bar offers all sorts of beach cocktails to cool you off.

Cocktails

A day at the Typhoon Lagoon wouldn’t be complete without a fruity cocktail in hand. Let’s Go Slurpin’ doesn’t disappoint! Grab a Rum Runner, Captain’s Mai Tai, Banana Cabana, or Slurpin’ Mojito. And those are just some of the cocktails served on the rocks. If you need to cool off grab a frozen Iced Tea and Lemonade with Vodka, a Strawberry Daiquiri, or my favorite, Pina CoLAVA. Let’s Go Slurpin’ also offers several domestic beers and cider along with a red or white sangria.

Food

There is no food served at Let’s Go Slurpin’ so you’ll want to head next door to Surf Doggies for a hot dog or Mickey-shaped pretzel.

Spring is here and so are the new cookie, cake and cold brew options at Gideon's Bakehouse. This Disney Springs location will be offering a garden variety of flavors for guests to enjoy all month long. Available daily, get your hands on the Carrot Cake Cookie. This cookie is carefully crafted with all the familiar carrot cake spices, molasses and finely chopped carrots. It's coated with Gideon's house made candied pecans and drizzled in a carrot cream cheese glaze.

You'll experience fruity flavors with the return of the Pineapple Dream Cake! This vanilla cake is covered in pineapple buttercream and layered with pineapple jam, pineapple caramel, and brown butter crumbs. Cake slices are available every Wednesday and Saturday in April. Pair your cake slice with the Coconut Cream Nitro Cold Brew. This new Nitro Cold Brew is only hanging around for April and features real coconut cream.

Starting May 21st, you’ll be able to visit both water parks!

Disney Parks Blog has just dropped some great news for those traveling to Walt Disney World this summer! Both Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon will be open for your swimming fun! The last time both water parks were both open was way back in 2019. Starting on May 21st guests will be able to enjoy both water parks until September 7th.

Additionally, Blizzard Beach will be closed between May 1st through May 20th to prepare for the summer season. Don’t fret though! Typhoon Lagoon will be opening May 1st.

Happy 51st Anniversary, Pioneer Hall!

Today we celebrate the 51st anniversary of a classic Disney venue, Pioneer Hall...home to Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue!

Opening on April 1st, 1974 Pioneer Hall is located at Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground. It was originally home to The Star-Spangled Washboard Band while Hoop-Dee-Doo was being written and cast.

Designed by Imagineers in an authentic Wild West style, Pioneer Hall was built with over 1,200 hand-fitted pine logs all the way from Montana and 70 tons of stones from North Carolina.

Disney Resort Trialing Resort Airline Check-In Offering

This once convenient perk may be returning to Walt Disney World Resorts!
Disney is testing the Resort Airline Check-in offering starting today at Pop Century Resort. This is a very limited trial that may see the return of the once popular perk. At this time Southwest Airlines is the only airline being offered during this test. Guests wishing to take advantage of this perk should head to the Luggage Assistance desk that’s at the front of the resort just to the right of the lobby doors.

Guests flying Southwest will have needed to check-in and pay for their bags online before bringing their bags to the Luggage Assistance desk. The company Bag Check will be transporting guests’ bags to the airport. Also, for flights before 1pm, guests will need to check their bags in the night before departure. Those flying after 1pm must check their bags with Luggage Assistance at minimum, 4 hours before their flight.

If successful, Resort Airline Check-In will roll out to other value resorts. We’re hoping that this service will eventually encompass more airlines and all Walt Disney World Resorts.

Guests flying Southwest will have needed to check-in and pay for their bags online before bringing their bags to the Luggage Assistance desk. The company Bag Check will be transporting guests’ bags to the airport. Also, for flights before 1pm, guests will need to check their bags in the night before departure. Those flying after 1pm must check their bags with Luggage Assistance at minimum, 4 hours before their flight.

If successful, Resort Airline Check-In will roll out to other value resorts. We’re hoping that this service will eventually encompass more airlines and all Walt Disney World Resorts.

The original dueling piano showcase says goodbye to The Boardwalk

Join the Jellyrolls team as they celebrate their final "Farewell to the Boardwalk" with a special event performance on Saturday, April 19th. Doors will open at 6:00pm with entertainment starting at 6:15pm. Admission will be $22 per person with no discounts being honored during this special event. Seating will be first come, first serve for this farewell show.

Be sure to raise your glass one last time as you enjoy the dueling piano bar fun at Disney's BoardWalk Resort. This popular nightspot is open to guests 21 years of age and older.

This event returns May 23rd and runs until September 13th. Guests of select Walt Disney World Resort hotels can purchase event tickets online on April 1st. All other Guests may purchase tickets online beginning April 4th.

• The event is located at Typhoon Lagoon water park

• Event tickets are $85 per ticket

• Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club members can save $15 per ticket

• The event is 8pm-11pm but you can enter as early as 6pm

• What’s included: entertainment with a DJ and Disney characters, ice cream novelties, popcorn, and select fountain beverages, all the water attractions at the park

• Additional snacks are available for purchase

Disney Villains Show Opens Soon and We've Been Given a Sneak Peak Behind the Scenes at Construction

Disney Live Entertainment recently shared a behind the scenes video on Instagram showing the progress of Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After which will open on May 27th at Disney's Hollywood Studios.

We first get to see the crew hoisting a frame into place on the stage. The central frame joins many others around the stage which will be used during the production to show many Disney villains.

The central frame is also in place and this view gives us a better image of what the stage might look like once completed!

The new show will have a run time of approximately 40 minutes and will feature live action sequences will the villains taking to the stage. We can't wait to see the show!
